AFTER SPELL CHECK LOL---
Max Planck was genious but his premise was a falsified form of logic. He said himeslf that all matter is held together by a force therefore one must "assume" there is a consiousness or intelligent mind behind everything. that is an assumption that is not supported by any provable, tangeable or even mathematical theroy or possabilty. I believe the jump to find a direct correlation from what we have learned about quantum mechanics and our abilty to create our own reality is a leap of faith and not science. There is no need to make such a leap. The philosophy of creating ones own reality is an acient one and independant of physics. This by NO means takes away the usefulness of each endevour. The reason people are trying to correlate these vastly different institution is based on our need to feel secure. Again it goes back to our genetic predispositon to answer who we are, why we are her and whre we are going. This feels a void that only a conscience being like ourseleves experiences. We can not imagine what it was like before we were born. But this does not bother us but rather what happens after we die does concern us. We are wired to survive and not to simply vanish after mortal death. At lease our Brains drive us this way. In a way we have no choice than to construct ideas of life after death. Curiously this is a good foundation to argue the lack of free will as it pertains to these issues of immortality. Each of us has a more intense or different level of conviction to answer these questions simply because we are all slightly different and no two human are 100% alike.

Religion and Science finally meet, finding "Peace and Understanding"
The “Om” from you tube is profoundly pleasant. I agree with the traditions, thoughts and expressions presented here. Obviously based on Sanskrit’s from Buddhism and Hinduism I still agree with the content while technically labeling myself a practicing Christian. To some this may seem ironic if not hypocritical. Unlike many, I have never thoughtfully felt a conflict with the obvious clash of some radically interpreted fundamentals within these belief systems. While the majority of believers in these respective religions or philosophies towards life would argue against me, I see the similarities as the ultimate truth. At the very least a common goal of trying to make sense of the world.
I have had a theory which is undeveloped but involves applying science to the above. For example the “Om” video states “all creation begins as a vibration” and different vibrations manifest themselves into reality as different objects, things or even thoughts. There have been strong correlations between science, religion and philosophy for years. But I think we are entering a new understanding of why this is the case. Let me take the opportunity to point out this is not scientology nor is it new age thinking. I, as others, have and are trying to find a common ground with these age old ideas of our place in this vast universe and our latest understanding of it through science. In doing so we are never disappointed when keeping an open mind. Contempt prior to investigation will lead to dogmatism and simple ignorance. It can be stifling to the mind and soul weather you are a priest or a scientist. In quantum physics it is proposed in string theory that all subatomic particles are made up of tiny vibrating strings. While I am simplifying these ideas for the reader one does not need a PhD in physics to understand many of its concepts. The equations are as elegant as the philosophies that preceded this new found knowledge. But how could it be that pure science would unravel the mysteries of nature that compliment the concepts of philosophers, mystics, monks etc. from thousands of years ago.
I could provide much better examples of such similarities in Science, Philosophy and Religions given enough time. As a matter of fact I am know there is are many books written on the subject. The evidence of commonalities between these approaches to understand who we are, why are we here and where are we going is extraordinary to say the least. I submit this is no mere coincidence. While I cannot factually state there is a divine providence behind this conjecture I am not ruling it out either. But it could have something to do with we are a product of nature form the most complex to the most simple form. Therefore we have no choice other than to observe and interpret reality (or nature) as it is for there is no alternative. We are wired by the very thing we are trying to describe therefore influenced by it, an element of it and simply a product of it. This wiring or genetic predisposition of humans will always and ultimately lead us to the same convictions I’ve mentioned above. This may sound as if I am taking the romance out of our story. But in actuality it may be the beginning of an even deeper understanding of the ultimate truth and reality of our very existence.
More later…….

To a sick friend at home probably climbing the walls. I should practice what I preach.
Yes work will be good for you. Some times "we" think too much. I know I do. Instead of living in the moment we project our fears into the future and create a reality that doesn't exist. Then we hold on to resentment and regrets from the past. When we do this we can't experience any peace today. We must let go of the past and realize our future is in the now. What we choose now effects our future. Therefore we need to train our minds to focus on what is in front of us now. Do the next right thing. Whatever it is. Just treat people like you want to be treated. Do things that do not cause guilt. Choose actions that help others. Don't be selfish. And if we do these things we do them not for a reward but because it's simply the right thing to do. The reward comes in the form of PEACE in our heart and mind knowing we tried our best. Beware of self-pity. This is selfishness at its worst. "Woe is me". You can never be happy when in this state of mind. It is impossible to have a bad attitude when you are full of gratitude. They are completely incompatible with each other. All religions and spiritual truths are partly based upon these principals.

Answer to a friend’s question.
I don't know about Angels per say. I hope they exist. And I doubt there is anything like reincarnation. But these are things that have no way of being proved or disproved therefore it's a mute point to me. I believe our brains are so complex the brain has such anomalies that manifest themselves in such strange ideas. Looking at it from a logical perspective leads me to such a conclusion. If I were to believe in these things it would not be based on empirical data or logic but a completely different way of looking at this subject. I would have to mentally approach this on pure faith vs. logic. I see nothing wrong with seeing and believing things based upon faith. I simply put the existence of Angels and the Truck I drive into different categories.

The below was a post I sent to someone on FB. 9/2/2009
As far as science is concerned, I'm into physics as deep as my little frontal lobes can withstand. Therefore I really am picky in the sense I need the most updated and detailed information on the subject to be truly happy, if you will. In other words I have read so much on Quantum Physics, Relativity etc. etc. that it is difficult for me to find new info. Although, I try every day or so it seems. And one certainly can't delve into the Quantum world without exploring its implications on the Newtonian world we live in. This of course leads to the study of cosmology on the much grander scale. In other words we cannot discuss the strange world and behavior of nature at and beyond the singularity of a black hole without addressing the big bang itself and all of the implications that initial and or prior state had on the current universe we are observing.

Contemplating the arrow of time. Not my favorite subject by any means because no matter what article, journal, discussion or theory about I read it seems to end in the same boring conclusion. Whether discussing time reversal, entropy decreasing if it didn't happen then it just didn't. In any observable system or even quantum state, if it has no physical value it is supernatural and therefore does not exist. It's fun to think about but if you believe in pure physics it merely turns into a meta-physical discussion.
